LOS ANGELES - This week, the LA City Council kicked off May as Asian and Pacific American Heritage Month to celebrate and honor the contributions of Asian Americans in the City of Los Angeles. On Wednesday, city leaders and Mayor Garcetti were joined by the cast of the hit ABC show Fresh of the Boat to celebrate the show's role in raising aware about Asian American immigrants, their stories and their continued contributions to our city.
Throughout the month of May, you can explore citywide events that celebrate Asian culture, history and art. For the full event guide, visit culturela.org/programs-and-initiatives/city-of-los-angeles-heritage-month-celebrations/
