EAST VALLEY - The Bureau of Sanitation, in collaboration with Councilmember Krekorian, installed 20 new trash bins throughout District 2 to reduce trash and blight on neighborhood streets. The city is adding dozens of new trash bins across Los Angeles as part of the Clean Streets initiative. Each new trash bin is expected to remove two tons of trash from the community every year.Is there an area in your neighborhood in need of care? Call 3-1-1 to report illegally dumped items whenever you see them. Once you do, the Bureau of Sanitation will come out to remove the items. This is a very helpful service provided by the city. If you see trash or debris in your neighborhood, call 311 or submit a service request online at lacity.org/MyLA311.
