Council President's statement on the retirement of Chief Michel Moore

LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles City Council President Paul Krekorian has released the following statement on the retirement of LAPD Chief Michel Moore:

“I personally want to thank Chief Michel Moore for his four decades of service to our City, and particularly for the five and half years he served as Chief.  He led the LAPD through uniquely difficult times, including the greatest public health crisis in a century.  He persevered in the cause of reform and upheld the values of constitutional policing.  I look forward to working with a successor who can build upon his record.”
