STUDIO CITY - The San Fernando Valley's newest micro-roaster Coffee Source is bringing residents a unique coffee shop experience with its flagship shop in Studio City. When long-time Valley resident and coffee aficionado John Fuller decided to make his entrepreneurial dreams a reality, he embarked on a journey to bring the experience of specialty coffee shops in the American Northwest to the Studio City neighborhood. Assembling a team of award-winning baristas and knowledgeable staff led by manager Alana Herbert, hailing from the San Francisco coffee scene, Fuller opened Coffee Source in February 2016.
The busy shop, located in a bustling strip mall on Ventura Blvd. and Tujunga Ave., roasts fresh batches of coffee beans in-store daily in its state-of-the-art Geisen W6 roaster -- a hard to miss fixture in the shop's bright and airy space. The beans are sourced from sustainable grown, fair trade suppliers around the world including, Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders and Ally Coffee Merchants. From cold-brew coffee, to lattes or a demitasse of espresso, Coffee Source will satisfy your caffeine needs.
If you are a local artist or musician, the specialty coffee shop will soon host open-mic nights of music and poetry for the community.
As national Small Business Week comes to a close, stop by Coffee Source to try the fresh roasts for yourself. Click here to see photos from Our Valley News' visit to the business.
