NORTH HOLLYWOOD - Local prop house Jackson Shrub Supply, Inc. has helped Hollywood set the scene and keep it green since 1937. Councilmember Krekorian recently stopped by to tour the facility.The family-owned and operated business has been a leading supplier of live and artificial plants for movie sets, special events and parties for nearly 80 years. Having worked for MGM Studios as a greensman, Cecil Shelby Jackson, the company's founder, started the business during the Great Depression. Since then, four generations of the Jackson family have helped cultivate and grow the business. Some of the company's current and former clients include Grey's Anatomy, The Tonight Show,The Office, True Blood, The Hangover, Pirates of the Caribbean series, the Academy Awards, the Emmy Awards, and many more.Jackson Shrub Supply is located on 11505 Vanowen St., North Hollywood.
