LOS ANGELES - This week, hundreds of arts advocates gathered at City Hall to celebrate Arts Day 2016. The annual event brings artists, art lovers and arts organizations with the city leaders to foster stronger relationships between those crafting the vision of LA's future and those who make it a reality. During this year's presentation, the City Council honored several individuals who have used art to make an impact in the community including, actress Amy Aquino, Alex Johnson the executive director at Children's Defense Fund, and Judy Baca, artist and World Cultures Professor at UCLA who is best known for her work as the muralist behind the Great Wall in Valley Glen.
