LA’s Best: Afterschool Enrichment Program Supports Summer Learning

Council President Krekorian enjoyed a visit with the students of the LA's best enrichment program at Hazeltine Elementary School in Van Nuys.

The LA’s BEST Afterschool Enrichment Program serves as a crucial support system for exceptional and gifted elementary school children enrolled in 203 LAUSD schools situated in communities with limited resources but significant needs. 

Each day, participants benefit from a nourishing meal, academic assistance, and access to diverse enrichment endeavors, all provided free of charge to families. LA’s BEST extends its efforts through a Summer Learning Program at designated school sites across Los Angeles, aimed at mitigating the summer learning gap.
