NORTH HOLLYWOOD - The Metro Board approved funding for a new 180-day pilot program to add a North Hollywood to Pasadena bus route - a route that connects the Orange and Red lines to the Gold Line. The $1.3 million pilot bus line, to be known as the NoHo-Pasadena Express, will have six stops, run every 15 minutes during weekday peak hours and every 30 minutes during weekday off-peak times and weekends. During peak traffic times, travel time between North Hollywood and Del Mar in Pasadena is expected to be about 55 minutes.
"This is another step toward increasing transit connectivity in the San Fernando Valley," said Metro Board member Krekorian. "I will continue to push for mass transit to increase mobility and create a better transportation network for our residents."
The new bus line is expected to launch in March 2016 in conjunction with the Gold Line Foothill Extension opening.
