Metro Launches New Program For Low-Income Riders

LOS ANGELES - Metro Los Angeles is now offering even more discounted fares for low-income riders with the launch of the LIFE Program. The rider relief program can help qualifying riders save up to $24 when purchasing a Metro 7-day pass, 30-day pass or toward fare on Metro and regional transit operators, including: Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA), Culver City Bus, Foothill Transit, LADOT Transit, Long Beach Transit, Montebello Bus Lines, Norwalk Transit System, Santa Clarita Transit, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus and Torrance Transit.

Adult riders, seniors, people in the disability community, K-12 grade students, and full time college and vocational students are eligible to apply based on the program's qualifying income guidelines.
