STUDIO CITY - The City Council, led by Councilmember Krekorian, approved funds to build missing sidewalk segments along Ventura Boulevard in Studio City.After an initial study by the city's Bureau of Engineering, the department found that nine segments of the public right-of-way along the busy Ventura corridor in Studio City were missing sidewalks. As a result, at Councilmember Krekorian's urging, the City Council approved the use of $1.4 million in funding from the Project Impact Assessment fees -- development fees that can be used for community improvement and safety projects -- to fill the gaps.
