LOS ANGELES - Until this week, the Los Angeles City Council had never elected a Latina as its president. I was proud to cast my vote for Councilmember Nury Martinez, my friend and fellow representative from the Valley. I will continue to work closely with soon-to-be Council President Martinez on the issues of critical importance to CD2.
