Smoother and Safer Riding for L.A. Cyclists

As Budget Chair, Councilmember Krekorian ensured that the City will invest $4 million in resurfacing bike lanes this year.  Krekorian has insisted on more frequent inspection and repair of pavement condition and bike lanes. Acting on that recommendation, the City is now using electric bikes to inspect its bike lanes, providing a more accurate assessment of where resurfacing or repair is needed. This serves the twin goals of providing Angelenos with a safe, sustainable mobility option while honoring the commitment to a zero-emissions target for City vehicles.
