NEW BASEBALL FIELDS IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD PARK
Since taking office, my team and I have made good on our commitment to maintaining, refreshing and expanding our open spaces for recreation and outdoor exercise. These have included a new baseball park in North Hollywood Park, created through a public/private partnership, with two hardball diamonds, a softball diamond, an adjoining multi-sport field, new batting cages, fences, pedestrian and vehicular gates, dugout modifications, an improved irrigation.

KESWICK POCKET PARK
The new Keswick Pocket Park is a beautifully designed, eco-friendly green space nestled in the heart of North Hollywood, featuring drought-tolerant landscaping, benches, and outdoor fitness equipment designed to promote wellness and sustainability.

DE GARMO PARK IN SUN VALLEY
After polling the community on what new features they'd like to see in their neighborhood park, we installed the Ninja X-Treme workout circuit at DeGarmo Park in Sun Valley, a challenging workout course that lets growing children and daring adults test and improve their grip strength, balance, coordination and stamina with a slanted jump board, swinging ropes, “cheese” walls, rotating cone wheels, a Burmese floating bridge, a spider walk, hanging platforms and a finish wall.

RHODES AVENUE PARK
When I was in the Assembly I helped secure half a million to renovate Rhodes Avenue Park when it was nothing but an empty untended space. Improvements included a new smart irrigation system, new turf and site fine grading, regionally compatible trees. anew walking path with benches and trash receptacles, a new hydration station, and new fitness stations. But when a park is dark at night it can attract unwanted visitors and unhealthy activities. Now we've illuminated the neighboring streets with solar-powered lights – lights that thieves cannot rip off for copper wire. As long as the sun burns in the sky these streets will have light.

CHANDLER BIKE PATH
We've repaired lighting and expanded access to the popular Chandler Bike Path, adding planting, access ramps and gym equipment to the entrance on Strohm Avenue, formerly a dead end facing a steep and bare dirt slope. We've begun construction of the long awaited project connecting the Chandler Bike Path to the Orange Line Bikeway to create a continuous 22-mile protected route across the valley from Burbank to Chatsworth.

NOHO ARTS DISTRICT
We've made improvements to the NoHo Plaza (People Street) off Chandler and Magnolia, lit up the NoHo Gateway arch and added festive string lights to Lankershim Blvd. in the NoHo Arts District. I hope to see you at one of these beautiful sites or one of our community events in the coming year.
