As part of the observance of LA For All Week, LA Civil Rights sponsored a Tom LaBonge Day of Service. In tribute to the late Councilmember, ordinary people in participating districts pitched in to clean up our neighborhoods. Tom LaBonge’s love of our city was absolute, and his care for our public spaces was meticulous. He was the kind of guy who could scarcely pass a piece of litter without stopping to pick it up, so in the Second District, we took a day to exercise our own inner Tom LaBonge.
